St. Patrick’s Day, or “Paddy’s Day”, is a well celebrated public holiday in Ireland. Arguably their equivalent to our Canada’s Day. In Canada our Islander neighbours to the east in Newfoundland have the day off, as well, to partake in like celebrations.
So what about us here in Toronto?
St. Patrick’s Day has evolved into an event that patrons across Canada celebrate regardless of any ties to Irish heritage. Though we may not have the day off, Torontonians have embraced the day’s festivities, encourage each other to dress in green and make their way to frequented Irish Pubs!
The unifying spirit of Paddy’s Day reflects the company culture we promote at Aluvion Law every day. How do we do that?
- By offering flexible work arrangements to everyone, including part-time and work from home options;
- By fostering a collegial work environment, focused on delivering value to clients rather than racking up billable hours; and
- By focusing on what really matters: doing great work and leading happy, balanced work and home lives (and making sure we have plenty of time for the occasional celebratory pint!).
